YSR, Not Congress, Gave 4 Pc Reservations To Muslims: Akbaruddin Owaisi

Akbaruddin Owaisi - Sakshi Post

MIM floor leader in Telangana legislative assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi recalled the contribution of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy to minority welfare on the floor of the house on Thursday. Responding to the Congress Party's claim that it had given 4 per cent reservations to the Minorities, Owaisi said it was not due to the Congress that the Minorities could get reservation in jobs and education.

"It was because of the will and determination of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy that the Muslims could get four per cent reservations," he said. He said the Congress was in power in Karnataka, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Delhi, but did not give reservations to the Muslims in any of these states. But, YS Rajasekhara Reddy was determined to give 4 per cent reservations to the Muslims. He said the Muslims would always remember YSR's concern for their welfare and development.

On earlier occasions too, MIM supremo Asaduddin Owaisi acknowledged the contribution of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy for the development of the Muslim community.
