Woman Jumps Into Well With Two Children, All Die

Nellore: A 32-year-old woman committed suicide along with her two children by jumping into a well in Prakasam district on Wednesday. The incident came to light when the bodies surfaced on Friday.

The victim Gopireddy Krishnaveni was married to Gopireddy Chinna Mohan Reddy 13 years ago. She was living with her parents after her husband succumbed to cardiac arrest six years ago. Her children Madhan(12), and Manish(9) were studying in Class 7 and Class 5 respectively in Viswasanthi School in PC Palli mandal.

On Wednesday morning, she along with her children left home after informing her parents that she was going to buy new clothes for the children as the school reopened on Monday. As she did not return home till the night, neighbours and relatives approached the police and lodged a complaint. Later on Friday the villagers found the bodies floating in a nearby farm well and informed police.

The police sent the bodies for post-mortem and the investigation is on.
