US-News World Report Places UoH Among the Best Global Varsities 

Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) stands among the top global universities of India, according to the US News and World Report's 2017 edition. As the only institution from South India as well as from Hyderabad, University of Hyderabad ranked 14 among the Best Global Universities in India.

However, in the first 14 ranks there are 8 research institutions and hence among the funded Universities the rank of UoH was sixth. US-News ranked Punjab University followed by Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore) as the best two institutions in India.

The report is of consequence to students who wish to explore higher studies in India. The overall Best Global Universities rankings encompass the top 1,262 institutions spread across 65 countries.

The rankings take into account schools’ research performance, as well as their ratings by members of the academic community around the world and in Asia.
