Union territory status to Hyderabad ruled out

Putting an end to the ambiguity over the status of Hyderabad, Congress party in-charge state affairs Digvijaya Singh ruled out any possibility of making Hyderabad a union territory.

Speaking to press persons in New Delhi, Digvijaya said that the proposal of making Hyderabad as UT was not tabled at any point of time. He averred that the decision related to the topic will be taken based on the constitution and law.

It was only the process of Telangana formation, but nothing else, being discussed, he said. Digvijaya Singh also said the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is absolutely loyal to Congress High Command.

Earlier in the day,  Union Minister of State for Finance J D Seelam made out his mind on making Hyderabad as Union Territory, which, according to him, would be only the solution for all the problems.
