Udaipur Boy Scores 100% In JEE-Main

New Delhi: Kalpit Veerval, a student from Udaipur in Rajasthan, has created history by becoming the first candidate to score 100 percent marks in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Main, results of which were announced on Thursday. Kalpit scored 360 out 360 in the JEE Mains.

"I was confident of cracking the exam but had never expected to score a perfect 100 percent. Proper planning and dedicated study of five hours every day helped me a lot," Veerwal said.

Meanwhile, V.Mohan Abhyas from Hyderabad secured all-India sixth rank and stood second in the south. His parents who run a shop at KPHB colony shifted to the city 13 years ago. Mohan dreams big and says he doesn’t want to join an IT company but aims to get into research in Physics to become a scientist.

The offline examination was held on April 2 , while the online examintaion was held on April 8 and 9. Out of the over 11.8 lakh students who appeared for the examination for admission to various IITs and engineering colleges, around 2.2 lakh have qualified to write the Advanced exam to be conducted by IIT-Madras on May 21.
