Worried About Future, RTC Employee Dies Of Heart Attack

RTC employees are protesting infront of Sathupallu Bus depot in Khamman district - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: One more RTC employee died of a heart attack on Sunday. A driver named Sheikh Khaja Miyan belonging to the Sathupally bus depot in Khammam district died of a heart attack. He was reportedly worried about their future (joblessness) owing to the ongoing strike and deadlock.

With this incident, the toll has gone up to three since October 13, where a driver Srinivas Reddy immolated himself and another conductor hanged himself during the protests. This incident was attributed to the ongoing strike by TSRTC trade unions.

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC)  employees’ strike entered its 16th day on Sunday.

Despite Telangana High Court directing the government to resolve this issue by holding discussions with the agitating employees, it is reported that the government is not willing to have dialogues with the trade union JAC anytime yet. However, the JAC on many occasions said that they are willing to have talks with the government, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao continues to maintain a tough stance. The TSRTC employees have been agitating since October 5.
