Interstate Dacoit Held In Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Charminar police on Friday arrested a notorious interstate robbery gang member who was involved in many robbery cases in Mumbai and some areas in Maharashtra.

Amjad Khwaja Ameen Shaik, a member of the gang looted several gold workshops in the places of Nagpad, JJ Road, MRA Marg, Azad, Byculla, VP road, DB Marg, Kherwari and Shivaji Park of Maharashtra. He was also involved in the robbery of Moosabowli gold shop in Charminar. Amjad was acquitted in a case while a few are u Pending Trial.

In March, the offender along with his associates had committed a sensational dacoity and robbed around 3.5 Kgs of gold ornaments from the workshop located in Moosabowli under the limits of Charminar Police station.

According to South Zone police, the accused has been  involved in 17 theft and chain snatching cases till now.

The arrest was made under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Zone V. Sathyanarayana with the assistance of K. Chandra Sekhar Reddy, Inspector of Police; G. Naresh Kumar, Additional Inspector of Police, SIs and the other staff.
