Telangana to Have Five New Districts in First Phase - Sakshi Post

Telangana to have five new districts in the first phase out of the proposed 13 new districts, according to State government sources. Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had recently met the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi in this regard.
The new districts will be Mancherial, Siddipet, Vikarabad, Suryapet and Nagarkunool. The State government is said to give priority to regions where new district formation is pending for longer duration than other regions. Secondly, priority will also be given to regions where there are fewer disturbances - politically and otherwise.
The government opted for the phase-wise creation of new districts to avoid infrastructure, logistical and resource issues, sources said.
In terms of Assembly constituencies Siddipet and Suryapet to have five constituencies each, Nagarkurnool and Vikarabad to have four constituencies each and Mancherial to have three Assembly constituencies.
