Telangana State at Sonia’s disposal: Jana Reddy

Minister for Panchayat Raj K Jana Reddy on Thursday said it was the discretion of AICC president Sonia Gandhi to decide on Telangana separate state.

Stating that Telangana state was imminent, but it was a matter of time, Jana Reddy said the population was just 3.5 crore when the AP State was formed and now the Telangana population was alone 3.5 crore. 

The high command was asked to raise the image of the Congress party by announcing a Telangana state. The State division was at the disposal of Sonia Gandhi. He said he had taken the signatures from all the Telangana Congress leaders for mounting pressure on the party for a separate state. The names of those who declined to sign on the proposal would be announced at the public meeting to be held at Nizam College grounds on June 30, Jana Reddy asserted.
