Overconfidence Cost TRS In Lok Sabha Polls, Says KTR

TRS Working President KT Rama Rao accepted that it was overconfidence and laxity that had cost the party in Lok Sabha elections - Sakshi Post

Siricalla: TRS Working President KT Rama Rao accepted that it was overconfidence and laxity that had cost the party in Lok Sabha elections, where the ruling TRS had ceded ground to BJP in four parliamentary segments. The TRS was expecting that it would have a smooth sail and would win 16 Lok Sabha seats.

Addressing TRS workers at a booth-level meeting here on Thursday, he said that the party had lost an opportunity to send a good leader like B Vinod Kumar to Parliament as BJP had wrested the seat from them. "It was because of overconfidence and negligence, we have faced a defeat," he told party workers.

Stating that TRS workers should not lose focus, he asked them to spend at least an hour a day to drum up support for the party at the grass-root level. He said they should be alert and be ready to face municipal polls whenever they were held.
