TDP MLAs Set To Join TRS

Hyderabad: : Two MLAs from Telugu Desam Party  who were planning to  switch over to Telangana Rashtra Samithi have postponed their decision as of now. The key decisions in this issue will be taken post-Christmas they said.  The reason behind this postponement is that with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao being busy till another fortnight on 7-day tour . Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, a senior leader from the TDP has  also requested some time to discuss this issue with his supporters. It is said that Sandra Venkata Veeraiah is inclined to switch over to TRS. But another MLA Mecha Nageswar Rao is not willing to change. A close aide of the TRS chief KCR has taken up the task of getting them in to the party.

As sources say, TRS wants to completely out-beat TDP in the Assembly even before the swearing-in ceremony of the MLAs. As said earlier an aide of the CM KCR got in touch with Sandra Venkata Veeraiah over the phone and there was a discussion between them of even getting Mecha into TRS, said the leader's supporters.

The two MLAs are not on the same page over this issue, four-time winner Sandra Venkata Veeraiah has come to an understanding over the future of the party in the state and is inclined to turncoat if a ministerial berth is confirmed for him, thus enabling him to do more for the people of Sathupalli. They added, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah is mulling over the issue, but a ministership can make him move out of TDP.

On the other hand, Aswaraopeta MLA Mecha Nageswar Rao is being pressurized by his supporters not to take up this move. A video clip is also being circulated, where the leader is seen saying that he is not leaving TDP at any cost. However if the consequences are dire then he might change, said his supporters.

Responding on the issue Sandra Venkata Veeraiah said “ all the discussions regarding this issue are in the primary stages, I have not yet decided over this and if I am going to leave the party, that would be after discussing with all the people involved and I shall make an official announcement over it, along with the reasons to switching over to TRS.

Mecha Nageswar Rao said that he had won on the TDP ticket and will stay in the party, and there  is no truth behind him changing parties  and  whatever happens, he would stay  with the TDP. “ (from the Whatsapp video)
