TDP’s Miscalculation On Fielding Nandamuri Suhasini

The Telangana election has been an eye opener to many of the senior leaders across the parties. Few candidates who were sure to win this term, have lost it to their rivals.

One such seats which had created interest in all was the Kukatpally constituency. Nandamuri Suhasini, the daughter of Late Harikrishna entered the fray all of a sudden, without any clue. Chandrababu, who forged an alliance with Congress and others, sought the seat for her.

Her uncle Balakirshna and Chandrababu himself came down to campaign for her. But she lost the seat. After Late NTR, she is the only Nandamuri Family Member to contest in Telangana and that too from Kukatpally which is the most favorable seat for TDP. Suhasini lost to TRS candidate Madhavaram Krishna Rao. The leader from TRS haswon the seat previously as well and is popular among the voters. However, Congress on the whole in Telangana has faced a massive defeat.

The bottom line is that Hari Krishna sentiment did not work for Suhasini.
