Kodandaram Releases Common Minimum Program, Assures Implementation By People’s Front

Hyderabad: Releasing the Common Minimum Program (CMC) along with grand alliance partners Congress, TDP and the CPI, the Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) President Prof Kodandaram said that the joint manifesto would strengthen the democratic, Constitutional and the administrative aspects that were weakened by the TRS in the last four years. He addressed the media after releasing the CMC along with Congress Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, Telangana TDP President L Ramana and CPI leader Palla Venkat Reddy.

Kodandaram said that the CMC covered broad aspects spread across 10 important issues.Industrial and agricultural growth, socio-economic development across all regions of Telangana besides Hyderabad are among other objectives mentioned in the manifesto.

Congress, TDP, TJS, CPI Alliance Named People's Front: Uttam

Urging the media to address the alliance as a 'people's front,' Uttam Kumar Reddy said the name was conceived in view of the coalition's common aim to dethrone the TRS from power. "We have released the CMC after all parties agreed on implementing them. With the blessings of people of the State, the people's front will be voted to power," he said on the occasion.

Uttam further said that efforts would be made to implement the CMC by nominating Kodandaram to a cabinet rank post. TDP leader Ramana said another document would be released ahead of the polling day.

Meanwhile, CPI leader Venkat Reddy assured that the current welfare schemes would be implemented by the alliance's government. The CMC was planned with a view to ensure accountability to the people, he added.
