How KCR Goes Ga Ga Over TRS Schemes To Woo Telangana Voters
Gajwel: Addressing a crowd of more than fifteen thousand people at his Erravelli farm house near Gajwel town of Medak district on Sunday, caretaker Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) displayed composure and confidence.
KCR said that he would file his nomination papers on November 14 and begin his campaign from the next day. He also said that he would file his nomination accompanied by just 10 leaders in a simple procedure and requested people from his constituency not to come in hordes for his nomination.

Gajwel Development
Addressing the people of Gajwel as the true heroes he spoke about various issues including the criticism for not sparing time for his Gajwel folks. He clarified that as a Chief Minister he had a larger role to play and had to allot time for the other 31 districts in the state, but was still committed to the people and development of his constituency. He said that his target was to make Gajwel self sufficient.
He also expressed his wish to see that every person above 18 years in Gajwel owned a house of his own.
About the irrigation and drinking water conditions in the constituency, he said every tank and lake will be filled after the next rainy season and declared that the Kondapochamma reservoir will be the main source of drinking water for the constituency as well as for irrigating 80,000 acres.
The plan was to make Gajwel a role model for implementing crop colonies plan, set up food processing industries where women are given the first priority and also set up milk processing units. He said that the state government would provide 70% subsidy for such units.
Railway connectivity
He also spoke of the need to have a railway line from Gajwel to Karimnagar, which would boost the development of Gajwel. There will be a railway link soon that will make it easy to travel anywhere, whether Mumbai or Delhi or around the state.
Elimination of poverty
He spoke about making the state free from poverty and that Gajwel should become a role model for development in the country. “Our target in the next term is to make poverty disappear from all sections of the society,” he said
Underground drainage system for the state
KCR spoke about developing an Underground drainage system for the entire state for which the pilot project would start from Gajwel in the future.
Kanti Velugu scheme
The scheme was successful and many poor people had benefited from it he said and he was proud of the fact that idea was generated from his mind when in Gajwel itself and not something that was adapted from America or elsewhere.
Rythu Bandhu scheme
Claiming that the Rythu Bandhu Scheme was something that his predecessors and their governments could not think of as they were not into agriculture and because of this scheme the state had 17.17 per cent growth rate. This was a feat which came from a lot of hard work and effort by his government. If we spend another Rs 70,000 crores, we will irrigate one crore acres in Telangana,” he said
Irrigation projects
He explained the need to irrigate large tracts of land to achieve economic growth, and if this irrigation goal was achieved, an income of Rs 10,00,000 lakh crore would be generated for the people of the State.
Mission Bhagiratha
With Mission Bhagiratha, he said that the Government was bringng Godavari water all the way from 200 kms to all the homes and that the work on the programme had been completed in 20,000 villages and in another 15 days, work will be completed in 5,000 more villages he said.
The TRS president said the party was all set to play a key role in national politics in the days to come which was received well by the people and party leaders who had come from in and around Gajwel to attend the meeting. Minister T Harish Rao and Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Medak MP, Paturi Sudhakar Reddy, MLC and other party workers also attended the meeting.
