AICC secretary V Hanumanth Rao in Congress road show in Medak district - Sakshi Post

Medak: All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary V Hanumanth Rao demanded to know from Telangana caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) the status of his promise on making a Dalit the first Chief Minister of the State. As part of the election campaign, the former MP addressed the public at a road show here on Friday. "The same cheater (KCR), who had back then promised to protect the interests of the State, is now criticizing senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi," he remarked.

The Congress leader further said that after giving ministerial berths to Telangana traitors Mahender Reddy and Thummala Nageswara Rao, KCR was opposing the Congress party's grand alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) as a member of it. He alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Chief was eager to hand the CM post to his son, TRS leader K Taraka Rama Rao, who is also walking in the foot steps of his father in making derogatory comments against the opposition leaders.

The Congress party road show reached Narsapur later in the day, when V Hanumanth Rao commented in a meeting that the family members of KCR would have begged for money at Nampally dargah if not for Sonia Gandhi's decision to accord Statehood to Telangana.
