KTR Crossed The Line With His Comments: Congress

Ponnam Prabhakar vs K Taraka Rama Rao - Sakshi Post

Karimnagar: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President Ponnam Prabhakar lambasted Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader and IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) for his comments on the Congress party leaders. Earlier in the day, the TRS Minister said that, referring to Congress President Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the incompetent Congress cadre visited Telangana just before the elections.

Ponnam alleged that KTR was doing menial jobs while he was in the United States. "After coming to power, KTR developed egotism. He will not be able to roam around freely if the truth behind his history comes out. We will reveal the truth at an appropriate time," he warned KTR.

The Congress leader asked KTR not to forget that it was the Congress party that provided political life to his father, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR). In all the six surveys that KCR carried out in the State, each of them projected that the TRS performance and credibility was on the decline. We did not achieve statehood to Telangana only to allay a burden of Rs 2 crore in the form of loans on the public exchequer, he added.

As a result of CM KCR and Minister Harish Rao's provocation, hundreds of activists sacrificed their lives during the Telangana agitation, he alleged. "Kaleshwaram project is a live example of the rampant corruption that is present in the Telangana government. Karimnagar achieved the smart city status because of the underground drainage system developed by the Congress government," he observed.
