Teenager Beaten To Death With Cricket Bats By Players

Mumbai: In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old boy was beaten to death by players in the opposition team following a heated argument during a cricket match in Mumbai. The incident occurred at Gandhi Maidan in Dharavi locality here in the city.

According to the police, the victim has been identified as Amir Husaain. The fight started when Amir intervened in a verbal duel between a group of boys and his team player over an issue during the play.

Subsequently, the argument led to ugly fight where the boys attacked Amir with cricket bats causing him severe injuries on head. Amir fell on the ground helpless. Later, the doctors of Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital (Sion Hospital) declared the victim brought dead. The police registered a case following a complaint from the parents.

A minor was arrested by the police in connection with the case. And he would be produced in the Juvenile Court.
