TDP Leader’s Son Including 8 Booked For Gang Rape Of 2 Minor Girls

Vizag: In yet another incident of gang-rape in a week's time in AP, two tribal girls were gang-raped by eight youngsters including the sons of a TDP MPTC and a head constable son, in a school near Tajangi village in Chintapalle police station limits of Visakhapatnam Agency.
Though the incident took place on Saturday night, it came to light on Monday, after the victims and their parents approached the local sarpanch and then lodged a complaint with the police.
The victims along with two boys had come to Tajangi to attend the Pothurajubabula festival on the last day of the three-day festival on May 20. Around 11pm on Saturday when the girls were watching a cultural show, a thunder storm interrupted the programme. Both the girls along with the boys took shelter in a nearby school building.
K. Varun, son of local MPTC Angadha Rao saw the girls entering the school building and called his friend K. Nagendra, son of head constable L. Ganesh. The duo then called six more of their friends and entered the school building impersonated as police and scared the minors. They beat the two boys, who accompanied the girls and then raped them.
When the girls raised an alarm, their relatives rushed to the school building and thrashed the accused who later fled away.
The accused have been identified as K. Varun, son of A. Angadha Rao, a TDP MPTC; K. Nagendra, son of GK Veedhi head constable K. Ganesh; P. Divakar, M. Hari Govinda Prasad and K. Bheema Naidu. The identities of three other accused are yet to be confirmed.
