Shootings, Theaters Shut Down To Condole Death Of Darshakaratna 

Hyderabad: A mourning Tollywood on Wednesday shut down all shootings as a mark of respect to Darshakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao who passed away on Tuesday evening.

All theaters in Telangana and AP will also remain closed for the day.

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers K. Chandrasekhar Rao and N. Chandrababu Naidu respectively condoled the death of Dasari. YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, presidents of Congress party AP and Telangana units N. Raghuveera Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy respectively, Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, several political leaders also paid tributes to him.

All India Congress Party president Sonia Gandhi condoled the death of Dasari.

Thousands of fans from far away places in AP and Telangana visited the place and paid floral tributes.

Tollywood, Bollywood and Kollywood mourned the death of the veteran director. Hundreds of film personalities including actors, directors, producers, technicians and distributors paid homage to the demised artiste. The cremation will be performed at the family’s farmhouse in Chevella, near Moindabad, on Wednesday evening. Rao's wife, Dasari Padma, who died in October 2011 was also cremated at the same spot.
