'Sensitive bifurcation done in hard manner' - Sakshi Post

Union Minister for Civil Aviation and Vizianagaram MP P.Ashoka Gajapati Raju said that an airport alone was not enough to develop Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to reporters in New Delhi on Tuesday, he said, “There are several problems in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. To solve them, we need the cooperation of the Central Government.”

He said that they would bring pressure on the union government to do justice to all the regions of undivided Andhra Pradesh.

“We will try to take Air India, which is in deep troubles currently, to the days of its pristine glory” said the minister.
He said that he would try to bring air travel well within the reach of common man.

“We will hold discussions with the officials for the formation of airports in Andhra Pradesh,” said the minister.

The senior leader of TDP commented that a sensitive issue like the bifurcation of the state was done in a harsh manner.

“The capital of Andhra Pradesh is not yet decided. I could not attend ‘Maha Nadu’ of TDP as I was in Delhi,” said Raju.
