It's a known fact that Akkineni Nagarjuna and Director Ram Gopal Varma have teamed up after a decade for upcoming flick tentatively titled officer. We already told you that Nagarjuna is all set to be seen in the role of a police officer in the film.
Latest we hear is that, Nagarjuna's Officer might be a copy of Hollywood film. Since the beginning of the year, we are tired of hearing that every other Telugu film is a copy of some Hollywood film or the other.
It's worth mentioning that Power star Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathavaasi turned out to be a copy of the French film Largo Winch. Earlier reports doing the rounds also hinted at Tollywood big ticket films—Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya could be a copy of Hollywood film Antwone Fisher while Mahesh Babu's Bharath Ane Nenu seems to have been inspired by a French movie. The makers of both of the films haven't responded on this yet. But what baffles us is why all the Tollywood big films are grabbing the headlines for thw wrong reasons.
The latest buzz is that Ram Gopal Varma has drawn inspiration for his upcoming film with Nagarjuna titled Officer from an English movie. RGV is known to take inspiration for some of the scenes from Hollywood movies. We are not sure if this is true of Nagarjuna's Officer. An official confirmation about the same is yet to be made by the filmmakers.RGV-Nagarjuna's Officer is slated for release on May 25. Watch this space for more.
