Red Sanders Smuggler’s Paramour Sangeetha Chatterjee Arrested, Sent In Remand For 14 Days

In a major development, the Chittoor police arrested Sangeeta Chatterjee, Markondan Lakshman alias Lakshman Dange alias Tamang. She is a key accused in two cases of red sanders smuggling registered in Chittoor. She was produced before the Chittoor Court and was sent in remand for 14 days.

Sangeeta, a former model and former air hostess, has been evading arrest ever since an arrest warrant has been issued against her. The cases were booked in 2015.

Lakshman was arrested in 2014 by the Chittoor police from Nepal.

During the interrogation, Lakshman revealed that not only did Sangeeta know about his smuggling activities, she allegedly played a major role in helping him expand it by establishing contacts with smugglers in Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

Sangeeta helped in smuggling out of the country, red sanders that came from Andhra Pradesh.
