Rain Effect: Power Officials Shut Down Supply in Flooded Areas, Warn Against Usage of Inverters

Hyderabad:  Heavy rains on Tuesday evening resulted in the inundation of many low-lying places in northwest Hyderabad. In view of the submergence of transformers and power metres, Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) has announced a power shutdown in the flooded areas to avoid electrocution.

In many areas, including Kukatpally, Musapet, Miyapur, Suraram, Komaplly and Nizampet, power has been cut. The officials said power supply will be restored after the normalcy is established in these areas. They also directed the citizens not to use inverters and generators in the flooded areas to avoid any power mishaps until the situation becomes normal.
