Rahul Gandhi Visit to Chintapally Rescheduled for August 17 

Vijayawada: All India Congress Committee (AICC) vice president Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Chintapalli in Visakhapatnam district on August 17.

The Congress vice president was earlier scheduled to visit Chintapalli on August 5 but re-scheduled it to August 17.

APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy said in a press release that Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Chintapalli originally scheduled for August 5, but it is now re-scheduled to August 17. Explaining the reason for postponement, Raghuveera Reddy said the private member bill introduced by Congress Rajya Sabha MP KVP Ramachandra Rao in the upper house of the Parliament demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh is coming up for voting on August 5.

Since it requires the attendance of all Congress MPs in the house at the time for the passage of the bill, the Congress vice president has rescheduled his visit, Raghuveera Reddy said.
