PV Sindhu Wins Korea Open Super Series Badminton Title

PV Sindhu emerged victorious to clinch the Korea Open Superseries badminton title in Seoul by beating Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara in the women’s singles final on Sunday.
The two have played each other seven times in the past and Nozomi Okuhara has been victorious in four of those encounters. Their most recent match came in the World Badminton Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, where Sindhu lost in a tightly contested game.
PV Sindhu avenged that loss and emerged victorious this time. Sindhu beat Okuhara by 22-20, 11-21, 21-18.

Sindhu has won two Superseries crowns till date - the China Open last year and India Open in 2017.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Opposition leader in AP Assembly and YSR Congress party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy too congratulated the star shuttler on achieving the feat.
