Chandrababu Is Not Above Law: GVL

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu - Sakshi Post

BJP member of Parliament GVL Narasimha Rao accused Telugu Desam leaders of staging dramas once again. He said that it was the Congress which had booked Chandrababu Naidu in the case and not the BJP. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister needs to remember this, he said. The BJP leader said that Chandrababu Naidu did not respond to 22 court notices as a result, received a non-bailable warrant from the court.

Chandrababu Naidu was politicising a legal process, he alleged. Now, the Andhra Pradesh chief minister was using the non-bailable warrant to garner publicity, GVL commented. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister cozied up to Rahul Gandhi, but does not seem to remember that it was the Congress which booked a case against him, which eventually led to this non-bailable warrant.

Back then, Chandrababu had complained about the rough treatment meted out to him by the Maharashtra police under the Congress government, which he now seems to have conveniently forgotten, the BJP MP recalled. Chandrababu always tries to avoid getting booked in cases, he commented. The BJP did not need to act vindictively against Chandrababu Naidu because people would teach him a fitting lesson, GVL observed. Chandrababu Naidu should stand up to the legal challenge by fighting it out in a court of law and not by politicising the issue, and casting aspersions on the judicial system, the BJP MP said.

Chandrababu Naidu, who was caught red-handed in the note-for-vote case, is struggling to wriggle out of it, he pointed out. The Andhra Pradesh chief minister’s corruption would further be exposed if a CBI probe were to be conducted into the PD accounts scam, GVL said.
