Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrated At YSRCP Headquarters
Hyderabad: Vinayaka Chaturthi was celebrated on a grand scale at the YSR Congress Party headquarters here in Lotus Pond yesterday. Senior party leaders Rajya Sabha MP, V. Vijayasai Reddy, Ummareddy Venkateswarulu, and Bathula Brahmananda Reddy, were among those who offered special puja on the occasion. Party MP Vijayasai Reddy told media persons that they offered prayers to Lord Vinayaka to bless Andhra Pradesh with a better tomorrow by the time the Ganesh Chaturthi festival comes around in a year and to mitigate the suffering of the poor by ushering Rajanna Rajyam. They prayed for an end to the anti-people TDP government at the earliest so that YSRCP could bring in an era of welfare governance which would help all sections of society tide over their problems, he said.
The Rajya Sabha MP said that this was a first step in the path of YSR Congress party’s victory and to ending the despotic rule of TDP. Vijayasai Reddy observed that they prayed to Lord Vinayaka to bless party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with the chief ministership of Andhra Pradesh for him and the party leaders to strive for the all-round development of the state. They prayed for an era of peace and prosperity under his leadership, Vijayasai Reddy added.
Leader of Opposition in AP Legislative Council Ummaredi Venkateswarulu said that the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities bring about a sense of togetherness and unity in people. He further said that the people of the state also prayed for the success of YSRCP under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership. The senior party leader added that they sought blessings of Lord Vinayaka for the early completion of Polavaram project initiated by late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy and prayed that the remaining 87 projects under Jalayagnam should also attain completion. The party leaders offered prayers for a prosperous period in the lives of farmers under Rajanna Rajyam, he said.
