MP Kavitha Dependent On Father, Brother: BJP

Nizamabad: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Dharmapuri Aravind, who is the son of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader and Rajya Sabha MP, D.Srinivas (DS), said that Nizamabad MP Kavitha is frustrated over losing the support of people. Neither my father or I have anything to do with the bickerings in the ruling party, he added.

Yesterday, a group of TRS leaders openly accused D Srinivas of indulging in anti-party activities and urged Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to take appropriate action against him.

It is laughable that the TRS leaders are accusing my father of encouraging me in the BJP, Aravind noted. Neither DS is a dictator in our family, nor am I a slave, he remarked. If at all I wanted to benefit from my father, I would have entered politics back then in 2004, when my father was a PCC Chief, he remarked. Unlike Telangana MP Kavitha, my political career is not dependent on my father or my brother, he said. MP Kavitha will face the wrath of the people of Nizamabad, he added.

"The TRS leaders should prove the authenticity of their allegations," Aravind challenged. "Is there anything wrong in two people from same family working in different political parties?" he questioned.
