Police Officer Offers Money To Wife To Leave Him

Hindupur: A police sub inspector offered money to his wife to leave him so that he can marry a relative of the ruling party leader from the district.

The sub inspector, Shiv Kumar is a native of Peddareddypalli village in Parigi mandal of Anantapur district. He was in love with Sheikh Nagina of Madakasira mandal in the district. The latter was pursuing degree at a local college in Hindupur. She was selected for a police constable job while Shiv Kumar completed his MBA with financial support from Nagina. He managed to get a PRO job. Since both completed their education and were employed, Nagina suggested that they should get married.

Sheikh Nagina supported Shiv Kumar’s education and even provided money for his father’s medical expenses. Later, she also applied for two month’s leave to be with him at his area of posting in KVB Puram in Chittoor district. But Shiv Kumar hatched plans to marry another girl who was a relative of a district political leader.

However, Shiv Kumar postphoned marriage plans stating he wanted to apply for a sub inspector job. With this, both travelled to Hyderabad and underwent coaching for the sub inspector examination. While, Nagina failed to get selected Shiv Kumar managed to get the job. After getting the job, when the issue of marriage cropped up again, Shiv Kumar started ignoring her. She promptly reported the matter to police officers association who inturn brought it to the notice of district SP Rajsekhar Babu. Following the SP's intervention, the two were married at the District Police Training School in December of 2015.

Later, when Shiv Kumar's father fell ill Nagina once again rose to the occasion and supported him financially. In the meantime he was posted in Chittoor district as sub inspector. Nagina on her part applied for two months leave and travelled to Chittoor from Hindupur. However Shiv Kumar and his family members began harassing her and demanded that she leave him. Depressed, she lodged a complaint at the Hindupur One Town police station where investigations revealed that Shiv Kumar is planning to marry a relative of the ruling party leader.
