On Religious Sojourn, Olympian Sindhu Visits Tirumala 

Tirumala: Olympic silver medalist PV Sindhu, her family members and badminton coach P Gopichand had darshan of the presiding deity of Lord

Venkateswara at Tirumala, in the early hours of Sunday.

The ace shuttler and her team reached Tirumala on Saturday night. They had ‘VIP Break Darshan’ on Sunday morning. Later, in accordance with

traditions, Sindhu offered 68 kgs of jaggery equivalent to her weight to the temple and fulfilled her religious vow. After the darshan, temple officials

presented her with prasadams and silk ‘vastrams’.
