Old City Baby Sold To Vizag Couple Reunited With Mother 

Hyderabad: A six-month-old baby of a family in Old City was traced to Kothavalasa in Vishakapatnam and she was reunited with her mother on Tuesday.

According to the police, the father of the baby sold her to a couple in Vizag through a broker in September. He got paid Rs85,000 by a couple who brokered the deal. Then Younus, the baby's father told his wife Sabina Begum that some strangers took away the baby but refused to lodge a complaint with the police. As she insisted on tracing Fatima, the man threatened her saying he would divorce her. Sabina grew suspicious about her husband and approached Madannapet police who finally traced the baby with a couple - Nageshwar Rao and Parvati - in Kothavalasa.

Madannapet Inspector Nagesh and SI Venkat Reddy went to Kothavalasa and took the baby who was renamed by the couple as Hasini into their custody.

The police arrested the baby's father Younus, brokers Gangadhar Reddy and Sirisha and further investigation is on. Meanwhile, Parvati also approached the police seeking the custody of the baby as she developed a strong bond with Hasini alias Fatima.
