Not contesting in GHMC elections: YSRCP

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party on Wednesday has decided that not to contest in the current GHMC elections. The party will not contest until it is strenghthened organizationally in the state of Telangana, the Party said in a statement

Seaking to scribes at a press meet, YSRCP Telangana president MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that his party will not be contesting in the GHMC elections for this year and would wait till the party gets strengthened in the region.

He alleged that all the contesting parties are looking to occupy the city's civic body throne with the aim to mint money by using gullible voters.

The YSRCP leader assured that the party will stand by the people of the region and extend its support for any good cause all the time.
