Noose Tightens On Ram Gopal Varma As Police Steps Up Probe 

Hyderabad: The noose is gradually tightening around director Ram Gopal Varma’s neck as the Hyderabad Police stepped up the probe in a case relating to his movie "God, Sex and Truth" featuring adult star Mia Malkova.

A day after Ram Gopal Varma appeared before the Central Crime Station (CCS) here in the city, the police are planning to advice from legal experts to make the case against the director free of legal loopholes.

The director claimed that the movie "God, Sex and Truth" was shot in a foreign country. However, the police suspect that RGV actually shot the scenes somewhere in the country. The laptop which was seized yesterday was sent to Forensic Science Laboratory where the officials would scrutinise the data in it.

It may be recalled that a case has been registered against the director based on a complaint lodged by social activist Devi. In her complaint she alleged that the director made objectionable comments against women during a programme aired on a Telugu news channel. She said in her complaint that the director sought to portray women in a poor light by objectifying them.

Ram Gopal Varma will be grilled by the CCS police once again on February 23 in connection with the case. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Mahila Samaikya and various other the women organisations are planning to intensify their protest by staging indefinite hunger strike for 48 hours on February 21.

The police have also written a letter to Skype to secure details in connection with the case.
