Petrol Prices in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Today

After Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra, petrol prices have gone up  in almost all districts of Andhra Pradesh, and in a few parts of Telangana. The petrol prices have now crossed the Rs 100-per-litre mark. 

According to a price notification from state-owned fuel retailers, the price of petrol has increased by 27 paise per litre and the price of diesel has increased by 28 paise per litre.

Petrol is sold at over Rs 100 per litre in almost all districts of Andhra Pradesh, except Vizag where it costs 99.75 a litre. The price of diesel in Vizag is Rs 94.08 per litre. Petrol prices in Adilabad (Rs 100.57) and Nizamabad (Rs 100.57) in Telangana have surpassed the level (Rs 100.17).

In Delhi, petrol price hit an all-time high of Rs 94.76 a litre, while diesel is now priced at Rs 85.66 per litre. Fuel prices differ from state to state depending on the incidence of local taxes such as VAT and freight charges. The price hike on Friday is the 18th since May 4, when state-owned oil companies resumed rate revisions after an 18-day hiatus caused by assembly elections in states like West Bengal. Petrol prices have risen by Rs 4.36 per litre in 18 increases, while diesel prices have risen by Rs 4.93 per litre.
