November 11 Holiday: Schools, Colleges Closed in Hyderabad

The Telangana government has declared a public holiday on November 11, 2025, in view of the by-election to the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency. A decision to this effect was taken so that people and employees in the area can exercise their franchise without any professional or academic commitment.
According to the government notification, all educational institutions, including schools and colleges, and government offices within the Jubilee Hills constituency limits, will remain closed on the day of polling. The order also appeals to private organisations and establishments in the area to follow the closure to facilitate the smooth conduct of elections.
Additionally, all state government employees who are registered voters in the Jubilee Hills constituency and are working in offices located outside the area will be given a special casual leave on November 11 so that every registered voter may get an opportunity to participate in the democratic exercise without inconvenience.
This step also reinforces the government's commitment to encouraging voter turnout and ensuring that citizens have the support necessary to exercise one's civic duty during this by-election.
