 - Sakshi Post

Mahabubnagar: Gearing up for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, Telangana Congress announced that Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy will be the party’s candidate from Mahabubnagar parliamentary constituency.

Chief minister Revanth Reddy made this announcement during a programme in Kosgi of Narayanpet on Wednesday. He said BRS chief KCR should be allowed in Mahabubnagar only after he tenders an apology to the people. Criticising the KCR regime, Reddy alleged despite spending a whopping Rs 27,000 crore, the Palamuru -Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation project failed to irrigate even a single acre of agricultural land in the district.

Revanth Reddy exhorted the party cadre to ensure the victory of Congress party in all 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in the upcoming elections. He added that the government will start delivering the subsidised gas cylinders to the beneficiaries from next week onwards.

Former MLA from Kalwakurthy and Congress leader Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy was defeated by the TRS (now BRS) candidate Manne Srinivas Reddy in the 2019 general elections. BJP candidate DK Aruna was placed second while Vamshi Chand came third in the elections.
