LS Polls 2024: BRS to Consider Ex-Minister for Peddapalli MP Seat

Hyderabad: With the 2024 Lok Sabha polls fast approaching, a few former ministers of BRS are aspirants of Lok Sabha ticket in the elections. Koppula Eshwar, a six time MLA from Karimnagar district, is eyeing the Peddapalli seat.
The BRS leadership is reportedly considering a common man and senior leader to contest the general elections from this parliamentary seat and Eshwar appears to be the party’s first choice. Eshwar lost the assembly elections from Dharmapuri constituency. While sitting MP Venkatesh is also in the fray, another name that’s making rounds for the MP seat is Balka Suman who was defeated in the recent elections from Chennuru assembly segment. He is the former Member of Parliament from Peddapalli.
However, the reports suggest that the party may finalise Eshwar as its parliamentary candidate from Peddapalli seat. The BRS party’s strategy is to woo the electorate in the coal belt constituencies and the Singareni coal workers and their families and other voters hold the key in Peddapalli segment and Eshwar may translate these votes into the party's favour in the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, Congress is also making its strategy to win the Peddapalli Lok Sabha seat. The grand old party will likely field the young Congressman Vamsi, son of Chennuru MLA Gaddam Vivek from this key parliamentary segment. From BJP, the name of S Kumar, who recently contested the Assembly elections from Dharmapuri segment, is doing the rounds. It is also speculated that the saffron party may field a new face from Peddapalli seat.
