Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has left for New Delhi and he is joined by deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu. The special flight took off from Begumpet Monday evening.

He is expected to meet party high command on Tuesday. The chief minister will likely discuss various issues with the Congress leadership including the selection of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state. There are also speculations that Revanth Reddy will go for the expansion of the state cabinet soon.

The Telangana Congress has so far received 306 applications from ticket aspirants for 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state. The state party leadership is under pressure from leaders who had joined from BRS camp and the party leaders who were denied tickets in the recent Assembly elections for the tickets for MP seats. Reports suggest that Congress may try to compensate some of the leaders with Corporation posts if they don’t find a place in the Lok Sabha candidates list.
