Bye Bye KCR Trends As BRS Set For Defeat

 - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: The Telangana assembly election 2023 results have dashed the hopes of incumbent chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who was aiming to score a hat-trick win in the polls.

The Congress is surging ahead in Telangana leaving the BRS to a distant second in the race to power. Revanth Reddy-led Congress managed to replicate Karnataka's win in state polls. This time the grand old party, which had won 19 seats in the 2018 elections, has improved its tally substantially.

As per latest reports, Congress leads in 68 seats. Whereas BRS leads in 36 seats and BJP leads in 9 seats and MIM in meagre 5 seats. The magic-figure to form the government in Telangana is 60 as the total assembly constituencies are 119. Congress has crossed the magic figure and is set to defeat the BRS. With this, Bye Bye KCR and Bye Bye BRS are trending on Twitter and other social media platforms.

The anti-incumbency factor appears to have played a major role against the BRS in the Telangana assembly elections. KCR, his son, IT minister KT Rama Rao, and Finance minister T Harish Rao campaigned extensively before the elections. During the election rallies, the BRS trio tried to sell their development agenda to the voters.
