FIFA World Cup 2022: Argentina,Croatia Advance Into Semis

FIFA World Cup 2022 quarter-final matches started with thriller games. In the first game, Croatia knocked off hot favorites Brazil on penalties to go to the World Cup semi-finals. In the second quarter-final, Argentina won against the Netherlands on penalties as Lionel Messi led from the start. Argentina and Croatia now meet in the semi-finals on December 14.
Croatia defeated Brazil on penalties 4-2 to become the first side to reach the semi-finals. Brazil went ahead in extra time with Neymar's goal, but Bruno Petkovic equalised with barely minutes remaining. Croatia won again in penalties, securing their place in the last four.
Lionel Messi had Argentina up 2-0 late in the second half with an assist and a goal but Wout Weghorst scored two late goals to tie the game at 2-2. The two sides were unable to add to their totals in extra time, pushing the game to a penalty shootout. In the end, Emiliano Martinez made several excellent saves to help Argentina win the penalty shootout 4-3.
