November 10 School Holiday: Schools Closed In These States!

 - Sakshi Post

As November 10 approaches, students and parents across India are curious to know whether schools will remain open or closed on Monday. While most states are set to follow their regular academic schedule, Telangana has announced exceptions due to the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-poll.

In states such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, schools will remain open as usual. Officials have clarified that there is no nationwide or state-declared school holiday on this date. Many areas that had earlier declared holidays for rains or local events have already resumed normal schedules.

Parents are advised to stay alert for local updates, as some district administrations may announce short-term closures based on regional factors or weather conditions.

In Telangana, the Hyderabad district administration has announced a three-day holiday for schools and government offices that fall under the Jubilee Hills constituency owing to the by-polls. The affected institutions will remain closed on November 10, 11, and 14.

Hyderabad District Collector Harichandana Dasari confirmed that these will be paid holidays to facilitate polling and counting duties. The order applies only to the by-election area, while other schools in Hyderabad and Telangana will remain open.

Apart from Telangana’s limited closure, schools across India will function normally on November 10. Education departments in states like Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Odisha have confirmed there are no changes to the schedule.

For most students, Monday will be a regular school day, except for those in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, where polling preparations are underway.
