MP YS Avinash Reddy Moves Telangana HC for Anticipatory Bail - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy on Monday approached the Telangana High Court for anticipatory bail in the case related to YS Vivekananda Reddy case. The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MP filed a petition in the High Court, seeking anticipatory bail, and sought for urgent hearing of the lunch petition.  The Telangana High Court Chief Justice bench approved the anticipatory bail petition and clarified that it will take up the hearing on the anticipatory bail petition at 2.30 p.m. today.

On Sunday evening, the (CBI) issued summons to YS Avinash Reddy to appear before them for questioning on Monday at 3 p.m. in Hyderabad after his father's arrest. The MP's father YS Bhaskar Reddy, who was arrested in Pulivendula on Sunday, was brought to Hyderabad and produced before a magistrate, who remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days. The CBI has also filed a petition seeking his custody for further questioning.

Following his father's arrest on Sunday, Avinash Reddy alleged that the CBI ignored some key facts in the case and was treating them as the accused. He claimed that Vivekananda Reddy's son-in-law knew about the murder but he did not inform the police. The MP claimed that the CBI did not question the slain leader's son-in-law about suppressing the information. Avinash Reddy said the investigation should be based on facts and not target individuals. He said the new investigating officials of the CBI were doing the same thing that earlier officers had done.

Key details in the bail petition

The YSRCP MP said that he was given notices under 160 CrPC and the CBI officials recorded his statement under Section 161. He also alleged that YS Viveka's daughter Sunitha colluded with Chandrababu Naidu and a CBI officer through a local MLC This is a conspiracy against me and they are implicating me and an attempt is being made to include me as an accused on the basis of Google Takeout, he stated in the petition seeking anticipatory bail.

The MP also mentioned that one of the key accused Dastagiri was called to Delhi and was kept by the CBI for several days there and was converted into an approver. There is no evidence against me in this case. Dastagiri's statement alone was taken into consideration by the CBI. I am not an accused in this case till now and have been included as a suspect in the CBI charge sheet filed in 2021. CBI has no evidence to prove the crime against me, the MP stated.

YS Viveka's daughter Sunitha was upset that YS Viveka was involving his second wife regarding financial affairs. She has conspired with the opposition leader through a local MLC to harm me and my family, the Kadapa MP alleged. He also mentioned that there were differences between Sunitha and YS Viveka's second wife over several issues. YS  Viveka promised his second wife that he would get their son a seat in Hyderabad Public School and that he was planning to buy a villa next to the school. Sunitha got into an altercation with her father YS Viveka when she came to know that he was planning to make fixed deposits in the name of the second wife's family. I have nothing to do with Ys Viveka's murder, kindly grant me anticipatory bail, the MP stated in his bail petition.
