Hyderabad: Heavy Rains Forecast in These Telangana Districts

The Indian Meteorological Department has stated that the southwest monsoon has arrived early in Telangana this year. Though there are no rains for the past 10 days, many districts in Telangana have received heavy rains during the last four days, said IMD Director General M Mohapatra. 

The IMD Hyderabad has forecast rainfall in the state during the next two days due to the wind oscillation at an altitude of 5.9 km. It added that there is a chance of windy rains accompanied by thunderstorms across the state.

During the last 24 hours, Mahabubabad and Bayyaram received 11cm of heavy rainfall. While Medak had 10.7 cm of rainfall, KumuramBheem got 10 cm of rainfall. Jagityal and Illendu received 8 cm of rainfall.

The MET Department stated that North Telangana districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.
