UGC NET December 2025 Registration Ends Today, November 7: Apply Now at ugcnet.nta.nic.in

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration window for the UGC NET December 2025 examination today, November 7, 2025. This is the final opportunity for candidates aspiring to qualify for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), pursue a PhD, or become eligible for appointment as an Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges.
The UGC NET December 2025 exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026. Candidates who have not yet applied must complete the registration, upload the required documents, and pay the examination fee on the official website — ugcnet.nta.nic.in — before the portal closes tonight.
Once the application window closes, the form correction facility will be available from November 10 to 12, 2025, for candidates who need to make any edits in their forms.
Eligibility Criteria for UGC NET December 2025
- Candidates must meet the following criteria to apply:
- Educational Qualification: A Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant subject from a recognised university is mandatory.
- Minimum Marks: At least 55% marks for General/Unreserved category candidates and 50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD categories (as per official notification).
Age Limit:
- For JRF, candidates should not be more than 30 years old as of the first day of the month in which the exam is conducted (relaxations applicable for certain categories).
For Assistant Professor, there is no upper age limit.
