CSK Donates 450 Oxygen Concentrators To Help Namma Tamizhagam

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings on Saturday took to its Twitter and announced that it is going to donate 450 oxygen concentrators to the Tamil Nadu government which will help them in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. 

CSK director R Srinivasan handed over the oxygen concentrators to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin. 

CSK tweeted, "Putting our best foot forward for Namma Tamizhagam! Pushing our wellness in hands with Hon. CM Mr. M.K. Stalin, as Mr. R. Srinivasan, Director, CSKCL, hands over an Oxygen Concentrator in the presence of Mrs. Rupa Gurunath, President, TNCA." Here is the tweet made by CSK.

CSK collaborated with Bhoomika Trust, an NGO involved in COVID relief operatoin to procure oxygen concentrators.

CSK CEO Mr KS Viswanathan said, "The people of Chennai and Tamil Nadu form the very heartbeat of the Super Kings and we want them to know that we are all together in this fight against the pandemic."
 

L Balaji and Michael Hussey of CSK tested positive for COVID-19 in Dehi, earlier this week. They have been shifted to Chennai from Delhi for further treatment.

It is known that IPL 2021 has been suspended due to the surge in the coronavirus cases. Varun Chakravarthy (Kolkata Knight Riders), Sandeep Warrier (KKR), Wriddhiman Saha (Sunrisers Hyderabad) and Amit Mishra (Delhi Capitals), Tim Siefert and Prasidh Krishna (KKR) also tested positive for coronavirus.

India is one of the worst hit nations with COVID-19 and is struggling hard to overcome the second wave of COVID-19.
