PF Instant Withdrawal Via UPI on EPFO New App from April 2026

No Need To Visit EPFO Office, Withdraw PF Via UPI from April 2026
In a move that will make provident fund withdrawals much easier, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) plans to allow members to withdraw their PF money directly through Unified Payments Interface (UPI) from April 2026.
With this new facility, EPFO members can transfer part of their eligible PF balance straight to their bank accounts using their UPI ID and PIN. This will reduce paperwork, cut waiting time, and make the process faster and more transparent.
At present, employees must apply online for PF withdrawal and wait for verification and approval, which often takes several days. Once the UPI option is introduced, members will be able to access their money quickly and safely using their mobile phones.
EPFO is currently upgrading its software and systems to ensure the new feature works smoothly. When rolled out, it is expected to help nearly eight crore EPFO subscribers across the country.
Along with this, EPFO has also simplified rules for partial withdrawals and increased the auto-settlement limit to ₹5 lakh. This will help employees meet urgent needs such as medical expenses, education, marriage, or housing more easily.
