Daily Wage Earner Severely Injured After Ex-TDP MLA's Car Hits Him 

Former MLA Hemalatha belongs to the Telugu Desam Party. She represented the Satyavedu constituency in the Chittoor district in the previous Assembly.

On Sunday, in a tragic incident, an Innova ferrying Hemalatha hit a construction worker who was on his way to his work. The accident happened on the Srikalahasti-Tada road. The victim was bike-bound.

Soon after the accident, Hemalatha rushed to the residence of a TDP leader in close vicinity. The victim was hospitalized by strangers who witnessed the accident. Preliminary care was given at a primary healthcare centre in Varadaiahpalem. Since his head was injured, he was rushed to a tertiary care hospital in Srikalahasti.

The accident was sought to be hushed up by some people. A TDP leader tried to silence the victim's family by paying them a paltry Rs 3,000 as compensation. The victim's family members are in a state of shock.
