CM YS Jagan Mourns Odisha Train Accident

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his deep grief over the train tragedy of Odisha's Balasore on Friday evening. 

The CM YS Jagan took to Twitter to say that he is deeply saddened by the terrible accident. "I am shocked as more than 50 people died in the accident. We are in touch with Railway officials and fetching the details of the victims of AP. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families," he wrote Check out the tweet:

For those who are unversed, on June 2, 2023, in a major accident, several coaches of the Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel express train derailed near the Bahanaga railway station in Odisha's Balasore district on Friday evening, leaving several passengers trapped. 

According to initial reports, at least four coaches of the express train derailed at Bahanaga station. There is no clarity about the reason for the accident, though some reports have said that it took place when the train rammed into a goods train standing at the station. Railway officials have denied it, though.
