 - Sakshi Post

Kurnool: Amid internal differences over the allocation of seats to the party loyalists, the Andhra Pradesh BJP is hit by a huge controversy involving the allotment of tickets for elections. The audio clip of TDP-BJP leaders' conversation bargaining over the Adoni assembly seat is causing a huge stir in political circles.

As part of TDP-JanaSena-BJP seat-sharing agreement, BJP is fielding Parthasarathy from Adoni assembly seat. It is learnt that the BJP leaders have made an offer to the former TDP MLA Meenakshi Naidu, who is keen on contesting from Adoni constituency. The BJP leaders purportedly told him that they would leave the assembly seat to him if he pays Rs 3 crore to them. It is also said that they are holding negotiations with the purported permission of the state BJP chief Purandeswari.

An audio clip of an alleged phone conversation between Kurnool BJP chief Kunugiri Neelakantha’s brother ( who is also a BJP leader) and the nephew of former TDP legislator Meenakshi Naidu, is going viral on social media. The speaker can be heard saying that Purandeswari has allegedly asked Rs 3 crore for the seat and if the ticket aspirant agrees to it then the same seat will be transferred to Aluru in Kurnool district.

The audio clip assumes significance amid allegations that Purandeswari has demanded crores of rupees to give assembly or Lok Sabha tickets to the aspirants in the party. The BJP leadership has so far not responded to it.
