AP CM YS Jagan Pays Floral Tributes To Mahatma Gandhi

On the occasion of the 73 death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy paid floral tributes to his portrait at the CM Camp Office in Tadepalli on Friday.

Along with him Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas, Advisor to Government of Andhra Pradesh (Public Affairs)  Sajjala Ramakrishna, Convener and  YSRCP general secretary  and CM programme co-ordinator Talasila Raghu ram and other officials were present at the event.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday paid rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary. He said as the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi had become a role model to the world by showing a new path of freedom movement with prayer, pleading and protesting as the weapons. The Chief Minister hailed the Mahatma for accelerating the freedom movement through non-violence and Satyagraha.

The death anniversary of Mahatma was being observed as the Martyrs Day keeping in view the way he sacrificed his entire life for the country, he remembered. He said the life of Mahatma Gandhi proved that truth always triumphs.

Remembering Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary, President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday said people should adhere to his ideals of peace, non-violence, simplicity, purity of means, and humility

Paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said his ideals continue to motivate millions.
 "Tributes to the great Bapu on his Punya Tithi. His ideals continue to motivate millions. On Martyrs' Day we recall the heroic sacrifices of all those great women and men who devoted themselves towards India's freedom and the well-being of every Indian," he  tweeted.
